Mr. Emmanuel was arrested in 2019 on a minor charge and spent 5 years in detention without trial. Our lawyers discovered his case during a routine prison visit. Within 6 months of taking on his case, we secured his release from Kirikiri Correctional Centre.

Mr. Emmanuel is now enrolled in a skills acquisition program sponsored by the foundation and is learning carpentry.
